Our Story
In 2005, our team started exploring technologies that recreate real world connections between internet users. It quickly became evident that there was a need to present a professional identity on the web, and current offerings offered little value. In 2007 we began to build a better business card for the internet: BusinessCard2™. Our vision was a digital business card that could easily be passed around the internet, turn clicks into opportunity, and help people share their professional self in new and truly engaging ways. Two years later, we feel we have a product and service that's well on its way to accomplishing this vision.

Solution: Power social networking and social marketing at your website
Workface Inc. recently release the "Find a Professional" tool that helps any publisher or website owner to bring social networking and social marketing to their website. With this new tool, you can integrate a single line of code that enables your website to accept business cards being viewed and dropped. This first-of-its-kind technology was developed with the intention of giving the thousands and thousands of BusinessCard2 users more places to drop their card. What we didn't anticipate was all the ways website owners could use this technology.
In recent months we've seen tremendous growth in the number of companies wanting to use this as a directory solution. Historically, it has been extremely difficult to find the people behind business. Have you ever visited a website and wanted to contact someone there, only to be dropped on a generic "contact us" page? Not very personable, right? The use case for the Find a Professional technology is that it offers a content management system (CMS) for the employees of your company to build and control their online identity, aggregate all those employees in a single tool that is accessible to site visitors, and allow each of those employees to also carry their card with them as they navigate across the web.
